When I take objects out of their environment, almost as souvenirs from that time period, can I recreate the emotions with that time period? As an experiment, I went with friends to help me collect tiles from a destroyed beach resort called Les Mouettes. I took them back to my studio juxtaposed them next to diaries from the time period.
